This Review of Marhaba Lounge in Terminal 1, Singapore Changi Airport (SIN) is from a visit following a Maldives trip report. As a contract lounge, it's used by airlines such as Air France, Finnair, Japan Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, and Turkish Airlines, among others.
Marhaba Lounge, Terminal 1 SIN Location, Hours, and Access
The Marhaba Lounge is located after security above the Immigration area. After clearing immigration, turn right and go up the escalator. After reaching Level 3, turn right to get to the lounge. The lounge is open daily from 6am to 1am. The lounge is a Priority Pass Lounge and accepts the Priority Pass digital card, but may not be available during certain hours when it's busy with the business class passengers of the airlines it contracts with.

Marhaba Lounge, Terminal 1 SIN Amenities and Food
In addition to several seating areas, the lounge has shower rooms, a food buffet, wine and alcohol, filtered water, and WiFi. Although initially, when I arrived in the late afternoon, there were seats available in the dim room near the buffet, that soon filled up until nearly each seat was occupied.
.
In the dim area with tables where I was working, there were some power outlets underneath the banquettes, but not enough, so people were fighting over them. Keep in mind that as in the rest of Singapore, the outlets require British style plugs, so bring an adapter.
.
The WiFi password is stamped on the back of your boarding pass, which you present when entering.
.
The shower room wasn't very clean when I visited, with toilet paper on the floor and a toilet that needed flushing. Bring your own toiletries, since there was a generic shower gel dispenser attached to the wall.
.
The buffet had hot but unappetizing meat and tofu dishes.
.
Instead of the hot food, the salad, cheese and fruit (although not the dessert) make better bets.
.
Visitors with peanut allergies should be aware that peanuts are served in the lounge. Depending on sensitivity, they may want to skip the lounge altogether, or at least wear a face mask.
.
Filtered water, soft drinks, tea, coffee, and wines and spirits are available.
.
The Verdict
When visiting the Marhaba Lounge in the late afternoon, it wasn't too busy, but by early evening, it was uncomfortably crowded, with all the seats near me soon taken and lines to get food and beverages. While it had more amenities than JAL's terrible lounge in San Francisco (see Review: JAL Sakura Lounge SFO Airport) it was a worse experience. During the lounge's busier times, we recommend visiting for things you need, such as a shower or a quick bite, then leaving.
