Osteria La Quercia Rome Location and Hours
La Quercia is located at Piazza della Quercia, 23 in the Regola neighborhood of Rome, home to other foodie destinations such as 2-Michelin-star Il Pagliaccio and 1-Michelin-star Per Me Giulio Terrinoni. It's a mere two minute walk from Campo de Fiori, about a 12 minute walk from the Pantheon, and a 25 minute walk from the Spanish Steps. The restaurant is open daily for lunch from 12-3:30pm, and for dinner 7-11:30pm. Note that as this is a favorite haunt of locals, the restaurant's peak dining time tends to be 8:30-9pm, which can make it easier for visitors who would like a table at 7 or 7:30pm. We still recommend reserving in advance for dinner, however, especially on weekends.

Osteria La Quercia Rome Menu and Food
The menu offers many classics of Roman cuisine, and focuses on preparing its specialties well, rather than inundating with choice.
.
Even if you normally don't order appetizers, we highly recommend ordering the Fried Artichokes, which were sensational and a highlight of our visit. Order at least one plate per two people, so each person can try one.
.
We also shared another appetizer, Roasted Pumpkin with Radicchio and Hazelnuts, which, while good, couldn't match the star power of the fried artichoke.
.
The Puntarelle with anchovies and garlic was a delicious vegetable side for those who enjoy assertive vegetables. The slight bitterness was a welcome contrast to the rich creaminess of the Carbonara pasta.
.
We split a couple of pastas, the Amatriciana with tomato sauce and bacon, and the Carbonara, which used eggs from hens fed with hemp seed. Both were perfectly al dente, and an ample size as full meal in conjunction with the appetizers and vegetable we shared. I preferred the Carbonara, but if the creamy sauce is too rich, the Amatriciana is a worthy choice.
.
I also sampled some Tonnarelli “Cacio e Pepe” and liked that as much as the Carbonara.
.
The Verdict
Osteria La Quercia is the antidote to overpriced and mediocre tourist spots in Rome. Savor classic Roman dishes at very reasonable prices, accompanied by excellent and friendly service. And don't miss the fried artichokes.
