Can You Guess this Hotel? It's a relative newcomer in a city known for its fantastic luxury hotel options, yet it still manages to distinguish itself with its fantastic location, beautiful views, and modern luxury, including attention to detail.

Let's start with the location. While many of this city's luxury hotels cluster near the city's swanky boutiques and shops, this hotel more centrally located, walking distance to the city's two most famous art museums, not to mention other sights, one of the city's largest and most beloved parks, and the many eclectic shops, galleries, and cafes that cluster in the city's former bohemian, artsy center.

In our room, we were welcome with not only a bottle of wine, but with a gorgeous (and healthy!) assortment of fresh berries and melon:

If you enjoy a beautifully appointed hotel bathroom, this is the hotel to reserve: a spacious rain shower, large soaking tub with bath salts and a candle, gorgeous marble, TV embedded in the vanity, and a generous assortment of custom amenities. There's even a makeup fridge, where evian facial spray and cool towels await. The bathroom can open up to the room, or a privacy shade can be lowered to separate it. And the toilet isn't in it at all, but in its own separate room across the hall.

Swimmers will be pleased to have a long lap pool available, and muscles can be eased in the sauna or steam room, followed by a stint in the snow room.

As wonderfully comfortable as the bed is, we recommend waking up in time for breakfast, both to enjoy it al fresco, with a view of the city's most iconic monument, and to savor fresh squeezed juice, perfect lacquered croissants and pains au chocolat, vanilla bean yogurt with berries, egg dishes such as egg florentine, and more.

Traveling with young kids? The hotel is the only one we know of in Paris with such a magical kids' club, available in the afternoon. Parents can enjoy a late lunch or spa treatment while the kids revel in an imaginative world of their own.
