Four Seasons Resort Tamarindo, Mexico Will Open in Late 2022. It will be the fourth Four Seasons in Mexico, after Four Seasons Punta Mita, Four Seasons Mexico City, and the recently opened Four Seasons Los Cabos at Costa Palmas. A fifth Four Seasons Cabo San Lucas at Costa del Sol will open in mid-2023.

Four Seasons Resort Tamarindo Location and Getting There
The Four Seasons Tamarindo will be located in a protected ecological reserve about 25 miles from Manzanillo Airport (ZLO), roughly a 50 minute drive.
In addition to daily flights from Mexico City, Alaska Airlines flies nonstop from Los Angeles LAX about 4x per week and there are seasonal nonstop flights on American Airlines from Phoenix PHX on Saturdays during the winter and United Express from Houston IAH, also on Saturdays during the winter plus additional flights in December.
The Four Seasons resort will be part of the El Tamarindo master planned development, which includes several beaches and private coves.
The setting is dramatic: the resort is being constructed to take advantage of elevations ranging from sea level to over 390 feet (120 meters) above sea level, enjoying stunning views of the surrounding landscape and ocean.

Four Seasons Resort Tamarindo
The resort will be on the more intimate side, with just 155 rooms and suites, most of them with panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean, and some with views of the surrounding jungle and lush golf course. The contemporary architectural and interior design will be by LEGORRETA and Taller Mauricio Rocha + Gabriela Carrillo will blend with the natural surroundings and showcase local materials and textures.

There will be three restaurants: an ocean view bar and restaurant; beach bar and grill; and golf club restaurant. The resort grounds will also feature three pools (one of them adults only); a full-service spa together with a fitness center; young adults center and lounge; water sports centre; and tennis courts. Golfers will enjoy the 18-hole, par 72, Robert Trent Jones Jr. and David Fleming designed golf course.

We're happy to see that Four Seasons Tamarindo is being led by a Four Seasons veteran, Felix Murillo, whom we personally met in his most recent role as the GM at Four Seasons Hotel Lion Palace in St. Petersburg, Russia, one of the best Four Seasons hotels in Europe. He's also led the Four Seasons Resort Marrakech in Morocco, the Four Seasons Istanbul at Sultanahmet in Turkey, and served as the Hotel Manager at Four Seasons Buenos Aires and Four Seasons Mexico City.
