Cheval Blanc St Barths Reopened

Cheval Blanc St Barth Isle de France Reopened Yesterday, November 26, after several months of work renovating the neighboring former Hotel Taïwana and creating a wholly new Villa de France, a 5 bedroom private oceanfront residence that is part of the original maison. Cheval Blanc is the luxury hotel brand of LVMH, which acquired Belmond, greatly expanding LVMH's luxury hotel and travel business. New Villa de France

The new Villa de France is nearly 7000 square feet (650 square meters), over two floors. The master bedroom, which faces the ocean, has its own master bathroom and dressing room, opens onto a private terrace with its own infinity pool. The other four bedrooms also each have their own en suite bathroom and dressing room.

The living room enjoys panoramic ocean views, and the dining room has seating for 10 guests. The villa also has its own kitchen, private spa, infinity pool (so two infinity pools, including the one off the master bedroom), and direct beach access.

Additional amenities include a dedicated Cheval Blanc Majordome (concierge), two dedicated Mini Coopers for use during the stay, and an in-room Carte Blanche menu, all included in the rate.

New Rooms and Suites

The 20 new rooms and suites in the former Hotel Taïwana are Ocean Rooms, Ocean Suites, and 2 Bedroom Ocean Suites. Because these are designed by Jacques Grange, who designed the renovated rooms and suites in the original Cheval Blanc St-Barth maison, they aren't sold as a separate category, so when reserving, you may receive a room or suite in either the original Cheval Blanc maison or in the renovated former Hotel Taïwana. It's possible to place a request, for example if you prefer to be closer to the restaurant and spa, a room or suite in the original maison would be best, but exact room/suite placement is not guaranteed.
