MasterCard Lounge at Prague Airport Location and Hours
The MasterCard Lounge is located in Terminal 1, after security, up an escalator. It's open daily from 5:30am-11:30pm. Terminal 1 at Prague Airport is for flights to non-Schengen countries, including Russia (where we were flying), the U.S., Canada, Middle East, Africa and Asia.
MasterCard Lounge at Prague Airport Amenities
In terms of the seating, the lounge is divided into a cafe section, which is the first part you come to, before the small buffet. There's a funky looking orange and black seating area by one wall, with more conventional table seating in the center of the room.
World clocks along one wall give the current time for Prague, London, Abu Dhabi, Seoul, Moscow and New York–an assortment of cities that I've never seen, where a group of world clocks is concerned.
As you can see, the color scheme is in keeping with MasterCard's red and yellow colors, and there's even a table that more explicitly incorporates the MasterCard logo:
The more popular seating area, which gets great natural light from the windows, is the relaxation area.
Here's a view of the tarmac from the lounge:
Along one wall is a faux plant wall, like a cheap version of what you see in AMEX Centurion Lounges.
There are also showers available (ask a staff member for access).
WiFi was fine, although could have been faster, and there was a shortage of power outlets, so don't necessarily count on being able to charge your devices here.
For parents with little kids, there was even a kids' playroom:
MasterCard Lounge at Prague Airport Food and Drink
As at most Priority Pass lounges I've been to, food was nothing to write home about, but the basics were covered, so you won't starve. There were sandwiches, bread rolls and various cold cuts:
There were also some fried chicken nuggets:
The item we were happiest about was plain yogurt: we had a bowl of it.
There was also dried cereal:
In the lounge area by the windows, by the faux plant wall, were some other dried snacks:
I had no appetite for anything alcoholic at 10:30am, but there were self-serve spirits, wine and beer:
And for those needing a caffeine fix, there was an espresso machine:
The Verdict
The MasterCard Lounge at Prague Airport was quite crowded in the more popular seating area by the windows during our late morning visit, although there was plenty of space in the darker interior section. The bright colors and bold shapes made it a more interesting looking lounge than your typical drab Priority Pass lounge. Food options were far from gourmet, but there was plenty of it. We didn't need a shower, but there are some shower rooms that an attendant can open for you, handy if you have a long layover.
If you visited the MasterCard Lounge at Prague Airport recently, what was your experience?
