No; per the terms, “Bonus ThankYou Points are not available if you have had a ThankYou Preferred, ThankYou Premier or Citi Prestige card opened or closed in the past 24 months.“
Which Airline Frequent Flyer Programs Can I Transfer Citi ThankYou Points to?
Citi ThankYou points can be transferred to the following; I've highlighted in bold font those I consider the best value options:
- Air France/KLM Flying Blue
- Cathay Pacific Asia Miles
- Etihad Guest
- EVA Air Infinity MileageLands
- Garuda Indonesia Frequent Flyer
- Jet Airways JetPrivilege
- JetBlue TrueBlue
- Malaysia Airlines Enrich
- Qantas Frequent Flyer
- Qatar Airways Privilege Club
- Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer

So the Only U.S.-Based Frequent Flyer Program is JetBlue TrueBlue?
Yes; and because TrueBlue is a revenue based frequent flyer program, you generally can't get more than about 1.3 cents per TrueBlue point in value, if you're redeeming for JetBlue Mint, or 1.38 in value if redeeming for economy seats. That makes it poor value given that you should be aiming for at least 2 cents per frequent flyer mile or point for redemptions, if not more.
Of course, you can certainly redeem for U.S. airlines via other frequent flyer programs that are of the same alliance, such as Star Alliance, oneworld or SkyTeam. And that's in part why I highlight Singapore KrisFlyer and Flying Blue, since you can transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards points, AMEX Membership Rewards points and SPG Starpoints to KrisFlyer or to Flying Blue. Similarly, AMEX Membership Rewards points and Starpoints transfer to Cathay Asia Miles.
Can You Transfer Citi ThankYou Points to a Someone Else?
You can share ThankYou points with someone else, if that person also has a Citi ThankYou points account. Unfortunately, if your spouse or partner does NOT have a Citi ThankYou points account you can't transfer points to him/her. Don't forget, however, that shared points expire 90 days after sharing. My husband and I will be sitting this offer out, as we both closed our Citi Prestige accounts within the past 24 months and therefore aren't eligible. But given how it's gotten more difficult to earn new credit card bonuses, this is a good offer for anyone eligible for it, even though the points aren't as valuable as Ultimate Rewards or AMEX Membership Rewards points.
