A Staples.com AMEX Offer of spend $100, get $20 back as statement credit is targeted to some AMEX accounts. It's not quite as good as a previous deal of $25 back on $100 spend, which expired November 11, but still worth taking advantage of. The offer was on 3 of my AMEX cards: the AMEX Business Platinum, SPG Business AMEX, and Gold Delta SkyMiles AMEX. Here's the offer:
- Spend a minimum of $100 in one or more transactions online at staples.com and get a one-time $20 statement credit
- Must first add the offer to your AMEX card, and use your card for the purchase
- Enrollment limited, so add the offer to your card soon
- Deadline to spend $100 is 12/31/16
- Valid only on staples.com U.S. Web site
- Excludes Staples branded e-gift cards

Can I Enroll More Than 1 AMEX Card in the Offer?
Yes, if more than one of your AMEX cards is targeted for this offer, you can enroll each of them. That said, be careful in how you do this, since typically if you add an offer to one of your AMEX cards, the other AMEX cards associated with that AMEX login will lose that offer. To avoid this, open up multiple browsers and scroll down to the Staples.com offer for each card, then add the offer to each card.
Can I Buy Other Non-Staples Gift Cards with this Offer?
Yes–only Staples e-gift cards are excluded from the offer. You can buy other gift cards, such as a $100 Whole Foods e-gift card for $100, a $100 Visa gift card (costs $106.95), a Gap e-gift card (currently on sale for $80), a $100 Home Depot e-gift card, etc.
Can I Use This Offer at Staples Stores?
No, the offer is for the U.S. staples.com site only.
When Will the $20 Statement Credit Post to My AMEX Account?
Per the AMEX terms, the statement credit will appear on your billing statement within 90 days after 12/31/16.
I plan to use these for Whole Foods gift cards. Normally I'd use the Ink Plus to earn 5X buying Whole Foods gift cards, or 500 Ultimate Rewards points for a $100 gift card, but the AMEX offer is an even better deal. 500 Ultimate Rewards points are worth ~$10 if you value Ultimate Rewards points at 2 cents each, so $20 back on $100 is double that value.
