NYC Broadway Week: Two for One Tickets September 5-18

NYC Broadway Week: Two for One Tickets September 5-18

NYC Broadway Week offers two for one tickets on select shows for the two weeks of September 5-18. While we rarely see Broadway shows, I'll be taking advantage of this to take my son to his first musical, and it can be a good deal if you'll be in NYC during these dates and if a show that you're interested in is offered.

Here are the details:

  • Show dates: September 5-18, 2016
  • Go to the NYC Broadway Link to see the shows offered
  • The Broadway Week 2 for 1 offer applies to cheaper seats. Enter the code BWAYWK in the offer code box above the interactive seat map.
  • Broadway Week Upgrade Offer: It's possible to access some better seats (although typically not the very best seats)  for select performances by paying $20 more per ticket. Enter the code BWAYUP in the offer code box above the interactive seat map.
BWAYUP Code Applied

Example: Wicked

Here's a quick example for the show Wicked, where using the Broadway Week Upgrade offer some good tickets are $90 per ticket before fees:

NYC Broadway Week: Wicked Orchestra Tickets for $90 + fees

Whereas the most premium seats at the regular price, without any Broadway Week discount, are over $200 per ticket:

Wicked Premium Tickets: Regular Price >$200 per Ticket

Are Tickets Exchangeable or Refundable?

No, tickets from this offer are not exchangeable or refundable, so be sure you can attend before buying your tickets.

Which Credit Card Should I Use?

I would first prioritize any credit card that you're currently working on minimum spend for. If you have the Citi ThankYou Premier card, your purchase should earn 2X ThankYou points, although my charge is still pending so I can't confirm definitively whether Telecharge earns 2X.

Are There Any Other Good Offers for Broadway Shows for Other Dates?

If you can't make the Broadway Week dates and value Starpoints, I recommend checking the SPG Audience Rewards offers where you can earn bonus Starpoints for select ticket purchases. Note that these often have restrictions in terms of the evenings / matinees that qualify (for example, Saturday-Sunday are typically excluded). Also note that this is NOT combinable with the Broadway Week 2 for 1 or upgrade offer.

Examples of current SPG bonuses include:
  • CATS: Earn 1600 Starpoints per ticket
  • Chicago: Earn up to 1900 Starpoints per ticcket
  • Cirque du Soleil Paramour: Earn up to 1900 Starpoints per ticket
  • Finding Neverland: Earn 2200 Starpoints per ticket
  • Matilda, The Musical: Earn 1600 Starpoints per ticket
  • On Your Feet! Earn 1900 Starpoints per ticket
  • Something Rotten! Earn up to 1600 Starpoints per ticket
  • The Book of Mormon: Earn up to 1300 Starpoints per ticket
  • The Humans: Earn up to 1600 Starpoints per ticket
  • Waitress: Earn up to 1300 Starpoints per ticket
