FAQ

Why Go to Oahu

While many visitors to Hawaii just see Honolulu Airport or spend a few nights in Waikiki, I can say, having grown up in Hawaii, there are tons of interesting things to see and do on Oahu, both in terms of regular sightseeing and from the perspective of the arts and culture. A few ideas:

  • Pearl Harbor and USS Arizona Memorial
  • Diamond Head Summit Hike
  • Doris Duke's Shangri-La Estate and Museum of Islamic Art and Honolulu Academy of Arts
  • Polynesian Cultural Center and Luau / Dance Performance
  • Bishop Museum
  • Iolani Palace: the only royal palace in the U.S.
  • Chinatown Food Tour
There are also plenty of opportunities to dive, snorkel, paddle board, surf or learn to surf, take a helicopter tour, etc.

How Far Away is Four Seasons Ko Olina from the Honolulu Airport and Waikiki?

Honolulu Airport is about 20 miles away, a 30 minute drive, and Waikiki is about a 50 minute drive. Haleiwa and the North Shore is likewise about a 50 minute drive. While you could easily spend a day or two relaxing at the resort, I recommend renting a car to give yourself the freedom to explore the island.

Will the Four Seasons Ko Olina Have the New Four Seasons Bed?

Absolutely–all new Four Seasons properties, such as Four Seasons Oahu at Ko Olina, Four Seasons Orlando, Four Seasons Moscow, Four Seasons Seoul and other new Four Seasons hotels and resorts offer the new Four Seasons bed.

Is There an Adults Only Pool? How About a Family Pool?

Yes–there's an adults only pool (age 16 and older) that is 131 feet long, with complimentary shade cabanas (luxury cabanas also available for a fee) and access from the pool area to the adults-only beach area. There's also an 82 feet long spa and wellness pool as part of the spa that's ideal for lap swimming, with a jacuzzi on the terrace.

For families, there are two family pools, one round and one free form, with depth of 3-4.5 feet that are perfect for kids to splash around in. They're right by the beach, as well.
