Las Vegas Virtuoso Deal That May Not Last

Las Vegas Virtuoso Deal That May Not Last

Las Vegas Virtuoso hotels abound, and can be a great deal midweek, when prices are usually lower. Virtuoso amenities include:

  • Upgrade on arrival, subject to availability
  • Continental or full breakfast daily (depends on property)
  • $100 spa or resort credit (depends on property; Bellagio offers an $85 lunch at Olives)
  • Early check-in / late check-out subject to availability

My favorite Las Vegas Virtuoso properties are:

  • Four Seasons Las Vegas (peaceful oasis, great views of the strip from some rooms and suites, and courtesy car to the airport, based on availability)
  • SLS Las Vegas (opens August 23, Virtuoso upgrade at time of booking, $100 resort credit can be used for any dining or spa services at SLS Las Vegas)
But now I have another option which, while not nearly as luxurious as the ones mentioned above, is a great deal: The Signature at MGM Grand, which I stayed at last night. My rate was a little over $100 + tax and $25 resort fee, but here are the Virtuoso benefits (emphasis mine):
  • Upgrade on arrival, subject to availability
    • (not applicable to One or Two Bedroom Suites)
  • Continental breakfast daily, for up to two in room guests
    • ($20 credit per person) in restaurant
  • $100 USD Food & Beverage credit, to be utilized during stay
    • (limited to: – The SIGNATURE: In-Suite Dining, Lobby Lounge, Poolside Food & Beverage – seasonal, and DELIghts Cafe – MGM Grand: Avenue Cafe, Grand Wok, L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon, Joel Robuchon Fine Dining, Tom Colicchio's Craftsteak, Fiamma)
  • Early check-in/late check-out, subject to availability
So for a one night stay such as mine for a little over $100, you're getting your entire room rate and tax back in the form of complimentary breakfast and a $100 credit at L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon? Yes please!

I will be posting a full review later of my stay at The Signature at MGM Grand and my dinner at L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon. Suffice to stay The Signature is a perfectly fine apartment style option, even if not luxurious, and $100 off dinner at L'Atelier was most definitely the reason why I stayed there.

How Long Will It Last?

That said, this deal may not last long, because apparently the front desk has been instructed to not accept use of the credit towards either L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon or Joel Robuchon, which are considered third party food outlets. I pointed out the terms on the Virtuoso site, so the manager on duty willingly allowed me to apply the $100 credit to my dinner, but management may get this changed soon on the Virtuoso Web site.

What surprised me was that the front desk agent was surprised when I showed her the Virtuoso site. What, does no one else staying on Virtuoso bookings at The Signature at MGM use their $100 credit at Joel Robuchon?

The Signature at MGM Grand Virtuoso Benefits

Have you scored $100 off a L'Atelier or Joel Robuchon dinner with a Virtuoso booking at The Signature at MGM Grand or Skylofts at MGM Grand?
