AMEX Staples Offer: $25 Off $75 Spend Includes Gift Cards (Targeted)

AMEX has a Staples offer of spend $75 or more, receive a $25 statement credit that is targeted to some cardholders and is also valid for gift cards purchased in a Staples store, so it could actually be worth opening an American Express email with the title “[Your name], Your new offers are inside”

Here are the details:

Enrollment is limited
Register by clicking the blue “Get Offer” button and selecting the AMEX card you would like to apply it to
May only apply the offer to one of your AMEX cards, if you have multiple cards
Gift cards purchased in-store are eligible
Purchases from StaplesAdvantage.com and E-Gift Cards are NOT eligible
Spend $75 in a Staples store or online before 12/10/13
Receive a one-time $25 statement credit
Allow up to 8 weeks for statement credit
No statement credit if purchase not made directly with Staples or if the purchase is returned or cancelled

I've enrolled in this offer and plan to buy a $50 Amazon gift card and a $25 Starbucks gift card. While I'll be using my SPG Business AMEX, which only earns 1 SPG point per dollar instead of the Ink Bold or Ink Plus, which you can use to get 5X Points on all Amazon spend, it's still great to get an effective 33% cash back for the $75 purchase.
