A $100 Off $500 or More at The Ritz-Carlton is an AMEX offer targeted to many AMEX cardholders. Log in to your AMEX account and scroll down under your account details to see if it's among your AMEX offers. For me, it was on both my AMEX Business Platinum and my AMEX Blue for Business. Here are the offer details:
- Must be targeted for the offer and click the “Add to Card” button to enroll
- Receive a one-time $100 statement credit by using your enrolled card to spend a minimum of $500 on room rate and room charges at The Ritz-Carlton
- Eligible stay dates: August 9 – December 11, 2017
- Valid only at Ritz-Carlton properties in the U.S. and U.S. territories
- Excludes Ritz-Carlton Vacation Packages, Ritz-Carlton Reserve, Ritz-Carlton Residences, Ritz-Carlton Destination Club properties and timeshare purchases.
- Excludes The Ritz-Carlton Shop purchases and Ritz-Carlton gift card purchases
- Limit one statement credit per AMEX card across all offer channels
Analysis
It's unfortunate that this offer is only for U.S. Ritz-Carlton properties, and excludes Ritz-Carlton Reserve properties, since that means it can't be used at some of my favorite Ritz-Carlton hotels, such as The Ritz-Carlton Tokyo, The Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong, and Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve property in Ubud, Bali.
A good aspect, however, is that this can be combined with Virtuoso benefits, by booking a Ritz-Carlton as a TravelSort Client or with your Virtuoso advisor. That's because Virtuoso reservations are made directly with the hotel, unlike reservations made through online travel sites such as Expedia, etc. While it's possible that AMEX Fine Hotels & Resorts bookings may also qualify, there's no guarantee, since these are made via AMEX and cannot be made by calling The Ritz-Carlton directly, as Virtuoso reservations can.

Per the terms, the statement credit will appear on your billing statement within 90 days of the offer end date, December 11, 2017.
What Are the Best Ritz-Carlton Hotels in the U.S.?
While this is highly subjective, the U.S. Ritz-Carlton hotels (excluding Residences and Reserve properties) I've received the most positive client feedback on are:

- The Ritz-Carlton Washington, DC (Club Level)
- The Ritz-Carlton Georgetown, Washington, DC
- The Ritz-Carlton Kapalua, Maui (Club Level)
- The Ritz-Carlton Sarasota (Club Level)
Can I Save This Offer to Multiple AMEX Cards?
Yes, if you have different logins, simply log into your different accounts, find the offer in each, and click “Add to card” in quick succession for all of them.
Or, if as I do, you have 2 or more AMEX cards under one login, open up your account in two browser windows, find the offer for both cards, and add it to your cards in quick succession.
If I Have Two Consecutive Stays at the Same Hotel Can I Enjoy the Virtuoso Hotel Credit for Both?
Generally not; two consecutive hotel stays are considered as one single stay for purposes of the hotel credit. But if you have a day separating them then they are two different stays.
