Chase Sapphire Reserve for Business Card Coming

A new Chase Sapphire Reserve for Business card will be released this summer, most likely July 2025. The timing appears to coincide with an updated Chase Sapphire Reserve, which is expected to have an increased annual fee of $795 (see our post, Apply for Sapphire Reserve Before Fee Increase? along with arguably worse benefits: an elimination of the 3X on points on non-airline/non-hotel travel spend, and significant couponing akin to AMEX cards.

The Chase Sapphire Reserve for Business card benefits and annual fee are yet to be released, but the annual fee is likely to be in a similar $795 range to the updated personal card. Usually business cards are considered a different product such that it's possible to earn a new signup bonus, even if one already holds the personal version of the card. And a benefit of Chase business credit cards is that they don't appear on one's personal credit report, and aren't counted for purposes of Chase 5/24. Chase typically denies a new credit card if you've opened 5 or more cards with any bank over the past 24 months (not only with Chase), and this goes for new Chase business credit card applications. However, an application for a new Chase Sapphire Reserve for Business card would not add to one's application count, making it advantageous to apply for business cards before applying for any personal credit cards.
