Several Ritz-Carlton 3rd Night Free and 4th Night Free offers are available and combinable with Virtuoso or AMEX Fine Hotels & Resorts (FHR) benefits. They are also combinable with Ritz-Carlton STARS, Ritz-Carlton's preferred partner program, but since these benefits aren't as generous as Virtuoso (which offers upgrade based on availability as well as resort credit) I recommend booking with Virtuoso benefits instead.
Another benefit of booking with Virtuoso is that you can use any credit card to pay for your stay; with AMEX FHR, you have to use an AMEX card. And with the Chase Sapphire Reserve earning 3X Ultimate Rewards points on all travel, that is the card I recommend, unless for some reason you prefer to earn 5 Ritz Rewards points per dollar with the Ritz-Carlton Visa (which equates to 1.6 SPG Starpoints, since Ritz Rewards points transfer 3:1 to Starpoints–see Link Your SPG and Marriott Accounts, How to Transfer Points and FAQ)
