- JetBlue: 15% cancelled, 57% delayed = 72% of flights impacted
- Southwest: 14% cancelled, 44% delayed = 58% of flights impacted
- American Airlines: 12% cancelled, 21% delayed = 33% of flights impacted
- Alaska Airlines: 11% cancelled, 16% delayed = 27% of flights impacted

Unfortunately, with many flights flying full, combined with airlines' challenges fully staffing flights, there's very little slack in airline operations and some passengers won't be re-accommodated on a new flight for several days, or will end up at least partially driving to their destination. The greater potential post-pandemic for these kind of airline operational melt downs is why we recommend arriving a day early for a cruise if at all possible, departing early when traveling during major holiday periods, and taking a morning flight rather than an afternoon or evening flight.

Best Travel Credit Cards for Trip Delay Insurance
The best travel credit card for trip delay coverage is the Chase Sapphire Reserve, because it only requires part of the trip to be paid for with the card, in order to reimburse reasonable expenses (up to $500 with receipts), after 6 hours of delay or an overnight stay.
The AMEX Platinum and AMEX Business Platinum also provide up to $500 in trip delay coverage for delays of 6 hours or more, but the card will only provide trip delay coverage if the entire amount of the trip is paid for with the card or with Membership Rewards points earned with the card. So if you've paid for part of the flight with a different card or with other points or miles, you won't be covered.
The Chase Sapphire Preferred and Ink Business Preferred only provide up to $500 in trip delay coverage after a delay of at least 12 hours or an overnight stay.
