Hilton Honors is offering instant Gold Status for Visa Signature Credit Card Members. (Signed up for the British Airways Visa for its 100K miles? You've got a Signature Visa card.)
Register your Visa Signature card and you'll instantly receive Hilton HHonors Gold status through August 31, 2011. And if you can manage 3 stays at a Hilton property by August 31, 2011 then Hilton will extend your Gold status through March 2013.
As Ben noted in his post “How to Compare Hotel Programs' Mid-Tier Elite Benefits” Hilton HHonors Gold Status is arguably the best mid-tier status to have apart from Marriott, which has a much higher threshold to attain mid-tier status.
Here's what you get with Hilton HHonors Gold Status when staying at a Hilton hotel:
- Upgrade to a club room with access to the club lounge on a space available basis
- If no club room is available, you receive complimentary breakfast in the hotel restaurant
- Complimentary Internet access
- 25% point bonus for all stays
Note that if you're staying at another Hilton brand (Embassy Suites, Hampton Inn, etc.) the on-property benefit is typically just a point bonus or snacks, since there aren't club rooms/lounges.
