As a reminder, up to $1500 in grocery store and wholesale club spend during A2 2016 will earn the 5X bonus, earning you 7500 points. If you have the Chase Sapphire Preferred or Ink Plus, you can transfer these points out to Ultimate Rewards partners such as Singapore KrisFlyer, Korean Air Skypass, British Airways Avios, United MileagePlus and Hyatt Gold Passport, which are the most valuable Ultimate Rewards transfer partners.
The 5X grocery store bonus is one of my favorite Chase Freedom bonus categories, as we always max out our $3000 limit from our 2 Chase Freedom cards, for 15,000 Ultimate Rewards points.

Are Walmart and Target included for the 5X Grocery Store Bonus?
No, Walmart and Target are NOT included. Neither are drugstores, discount stores or other stores that sell food items but are not in the included list of grocery stores and wholesale clubs.
Which Wholesale Clubs Are Eligible for the 5X Bonus?
BJ's, Sam's Club and Texas Jasmine are examples of wholesale club stores that qualify for the 5X bonus.
Does Fresh Direct Qualify for 5X? Does Amazon Grocery Qualify for the 5X Bonus?
Fresh Direct and Peapod ARE eligible for the 5X bonus. Amazon Grocery is NOT eligible for the 5X bonus.
