For Miraval, there's no minimum stay requirement and there's a $100 hotel credit once during the stay.

For Alila properties, a 2 night minimum stay is required (with the exception of Ventana Big Sur), and the hotel credit is usually $100 depending on the Alila property once during the stay, although for some reason the Alila Manggis property lists a $75 hotel credit.

As always, the two new Park Hyatt members, the Park Hyatt Auckland and Park Hyatt Kyoto, have no minimum stay requirement and include a $100 hotel credit.

Miraval Arizona: $100 hotel credit

Alila Anji: $100 hotel credit

Alila Diwa Goa: $100 hotel credit

Two other new Hyatt Prive members are Great Scotland Yard and the Grand Hyatt Vail, both with a $100 hotel credit during the stay and no minimum length of stay.

How the Hyatt Prive Upgrade Works

One of the questions I get asked most often by clients is how Hyatt Prive upgrades work, and if the one category upgrade is guaranteed at booking. The short answer is: We always advocate for an upgrade on behalf of our Hyatt Prive clients, and most times we are able to confirm an upgrade shortly after time of booking. It is NOT, however, guaranteed because:

  • The category immediately above the room or suite may already be sold out
  • There may be high forecasted occupancy, such that the hotel isn't willing to confirm it in advance. This could occur during peak holiday season, or during times of high demand due to a sports or other major event in the destination. Most Hyatt properties won't confirm an upgrade if the hotel is forecast to be at 95% or higher occupancy.
  • The original booking is in a suite or the category above it would be a specialty suite. Often there are only a handful of specialty suites, so in those cases the property may not confirm an upgrade in advance.

All that said, most Hyatts, especially Park Hyatts, will really prioritize Hyatt Prive guests at time of check-in, and sometimes even further upgrade them. It's not something to expect, but is a wonderful bonus when it happens.
