Fiji Airways A350 Business Class Seats are a Great Improvement Over the Fiji A330 Business Class Seats. Back on May 2, 2019, Fiji Airways announced that it would be leasing two A350-900 aircraft, to operate routes between Fiji and Australia / New Zealand, as well as the LAX-Fiji route. It was known that the configuration would be “Super Diamond” reverse herringbone, similar to Cathay Pacific Business Class, where all seats have direct aisle access. Finally, there are pictures available:

It's hard to discern key details from these initial mockups, such as the location of the power outlet (which I hope is near shoulder height, as on Cathay), whether the headrest is adjustable (key for very tall passengers), etc.

It also remains to be seen how well these interiors will age, since white and light colors tend to easily show the inevitable scratches and nicks that accumulate as part of normal wear and tear.

Still, it's great to have fully flat beds as well as direct aisle access, since Fiji A330 Business Class only has angled flat seats in a 2-2-2 configuration, which isn't ideal for night flights.

Fiji Airways A350 Routes and Dates

Starting December 22, 2019, Fiji Airways will start operating the A350 on select flights, every other day, between LAX and Nadi:

  • FJ811 Departs LAX 9:30pm, Arrives NAN 6am 2 days later (due to the time difference). Currently scheduled for 12/22/19, 12/24, 12/26, 12/28, 12/30, 1/1/20, etc.)

Starting January 17, 2020, Fiji Airways A350 Business Class is scheduled to operate 6X weekly, with the exception of Tuesday (which is on the old A330), although always double check, as the schedule can change and there can be last minute equipment swaps.
