Ritz-Carlton STARS Benefits are Available When Booking Through Select Travel Agencies, Including TravelSort. STARS Benefits include:
- Welcome amenity
- Daily breakfast for two (continental or full; depends on the hotel)
- Complimentary WiFi
- No walk policy (when booking with TravelSort, you will never be denied your room even in an overbooking scenario; that can happen to other non-STARS guests when the hotel is overbooked)
- 4pm late check-out priority, based on availability
That said, when offers are also available via Virtuoso, it's better to reserve Ritz-Carlton Hotels and Resorts with Virtuoso benefits, which include daily breakfast, an upgrade at check-in, based on availability, and a $100 food and beverage or spa credit. With Ritz-Carlton STARS, there's a complimentary breakfast benefit, but no explicit upgrade benefit, and no hotel credit.
There are a number of 3rd night free, 4th night free, and other offers available for select Ritz-Carlton hotels. The following list is not exhaustive, but represents what I consider the best current offers, also taking into account the property quality.
1. Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong: 3rd Night Free + Virtuoso Benefits, Club Level
Hong Kong is one of the Best Luxury Hotel Cities, and The Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong remains an excellent choice in a competitive market, thanks to the fantastic views, excellent service, especially in the Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong Club Lounge, and great dining. Be sure to try Tin Lung Heen for dim sum, or the Pierre Herme shop in the lobby.

2. Ritz-Carlton New York Central Park: 3rd Night Free + Virtuoso Benefits
Only a few New York luxury hotels have Central Park views from any of their rooms and suites, and the Ritz-Carlton New York at Central Park is one of them. The hotel recently renovated its rooms, suites, Club Lounge and Spa, although guests should note that Phase 2 of the renovation, which is renovating the hotel's lobby, lounge, bar and restaurant, is currently in progress and expected to last until Spring 2020.

The Ritz-Carlton Boston is a fairly non-descript property and not my favorite in Boston (I prefer the Mandarin Oriental Boston, and look forward to trying the new Four Seasons One Dalton Boston later this year) but if you need 3 or more nights in Boston, this 3rd night free offer could be a good bet.

The Ritz-Carlton Moscow has superb views of Red Square, and is offering a 4th night free together with Virtuoso benefits. I highly recommend staying in a Club Room with access to the Ritz-Carlton Moscow Club Lounge.

Tokyo is another of the top luxury hotel cities, and The Ritz-Carlton Tokyo is one of the best luxury hotels in Tokyo, together with Aman Tokyo, The Peninsula Tokyo and the Shangri-La Tokyo. I particularly recommend the Club Lounge, which has views of Mount Fuji on clear days and also offers several food and drink presentations throughout the day, plus dedicated concierge service.

7. The Ritz-Carlton Kyoto: 4th Night Free + Virtuoso Benefits
Kyoto, Japan's former capital, until just a few years ago had no true luxury hotels. Currently the best Kyoto luxury properties are the Four Seasons Kyoto and the Ritz-Carlton Kyoto, although Aman Kyoto is opening November 2019, and the Park Hyatt Kyoto is also opening in Fall 2019.
The Ritz-Carlton Kyoto is within walking distance of Gion, the traditional nightlife district, where you may spot a geisha or maiko (apprentice geisha), Maruyama Park, Heian Shrine, and the Kyoto Imperial Palace, among other sights.
