If your budget doesn't quite extend to Joali or Cheval Blanc Randheli, Four Seasons Maldives at Landaa Giraavaru is an excellent choice. The sand here, while not as fine as at Amanpulo, was more powdery than at several other Maldivian resorts. We also enjoyed starting each day with a peaceful breakfast while taking in the stunning views at Blu.

Landaa Giraavaru is close to Baa Atoll, the UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve, making it the ideal base for snorkeling with manta rays and great scuba diving.
