Several AMEX offers are expiring soon for Qantas, Frette, Norwegian Cruise Line and some high end NYC grocery stores. To get these, log into your American Express account and scroll down to the “AMEX Offers & Benefits” section. Trying to get existing cardholders to use their cards more via AMEX offers and other incentives is part of AMEX's current strategy–the company, which has been battered a bit over the past year, has told shareholders that it aims to make more money off of existing customers rather than from new customers. That strategy is likely also behind making AMEX Business Card signup bonuses once in a lifetime, to try to further reduce churning of cards.
If you have more than one AMEX card and may want to use an offer more than once, I recommend keeping separate logins for each AMEX card, as it's easier to save the offer to each of your cards that way. Note that offers are targeted, so you may not see all of these offers for your own AMEX cards:
Here are the offers:
1. Qantas: $400 off $2000
Qantas rarely releases award space on its nonstop flights between the U.S. and Australia, so if you'll be buying one of these flights you may as well save on your purchase.
- Get a one-time $400 statement credit by using your enrolled AMEX card to spend $2000 on airfare only in a single transaction at qantas.com by April 14, 2016.
- Valid online only
- Flight must originate in the U.S. and purchase must be on the Qantas U.S. Web site
- Not valid on vacation packages
- Not valid on phone purchases or purchases made at physical Qantas locations
- Get a one-time $75 statement credit by using your enrolled AMEX card to spend at least $375 on one or more transactions in a Frette Fine Linens store or online at Frette.com by April 22, 2016
- If in-store, must be at a Frette store in the U.S.
- Excludes international store locations, outlet locations and ABC Carpet location
- Get a one-time $100 statement credit by using your enrolled card to spend $500 or more on a Norwegian Cruise Line sailing at ncl.com by April 30, 2016.
- May reserve via ncl.com, travel agents (including as a TravelSort Client) by phone

4. Citarella Gourmet Markets, NYC: $15 off $50
Citarella is known for its seafood, so that's what I usually go there for–Hamachi (Yellowtail), for example, or even occasionally Opah when available.
