$15 Free Amazon Spend is an AMEX offer for some targeted American Express accounts. I logged in to check my account for my $30 Charles Tyrwhitt statement credit and noticed the Amazon offer. Here are the details:
- Get a one-time $15 statement credit by using your enrolled card to spend a total of $15 or more online at Amazon.com by 12/31/14
- Offer valid only for purchases made directly at Amazon.com or smile.amazon.com
- Not valid for purchases made through other merchants or third parties using “Checkout by Amazon”
- Not valid at international or non-English versions of Amazon.com
- Limit 1 statement credit per American Express online account
- Enrollment is limited
- Statement credit will appear on your billing statement within 90 days after 12/31/14
- Items ordered during the offer period but shipped after 12/31/14 may not count toward your qualifying purchases for the offer
Enrolling in Your AMEX Shopping Offers
1. Log into Your AMEX Account
2. Scroll Down to the Bottom and Click on AMEX Offers for You
3. Read Offer Terms
4. If You Have This Offer on Multiple AMEX Cards, Try to Save the Offer to Each of Your Targeted Cards
You'll want to open up the offer page for each targeted card in a separte tab of the same browser, then click on “save offer” on each tabbed page as close in time as possible. Of course, the terms say only 1 statement credit per AMEX online account, so you may or may not manage to get statement credits for all of them, even if you do save each of them to the targeted card. But note that if several of your cards are targeted and you save the offer to just one of them, the offer will automatically disappear from your other card offers.

Rather than finding a purchase as close as possible in price to $15, it's easiest to simply order a $15 Amazon eGift card and pay with your targeted AMEX card. It will be delivered in a few minutes, and you can then simply load it to your Amazon account for future purchases.
That's also what I do with all the Amazon gift cards we buy for 5X Ultimate Rewards points with our Ink Plus card: load them to our Amazon account, where they're used automatically for our Amazon purchases and even for our Subscribe and Save orders, for 5X on All Amazon Spend.
